Spam Spam Go Away
AAAAARRRGGGHHH!
Why do people persist on sending SPAM. They don’t get anything out of it. Except may be for a stream of hate replies. So, why is it do they continue to send spam. Do they find pleasure in annoying others?
Today, I checked out my new WordPress powered blog and my jaw just dropped to see that I had 26 spam comments in reply to my posts. I had to manually delete them. Online casinos, poker ….
After I had released my frustration though, I decided to ask around forums about how to deal with this flow of spam.
Fortunately, I’m not the first to be spammed. So, there are actually many ways to deal with this.
If you ignored my previous advice to stick to Blogger.com and instead decided to follow my footsteps, then you’d want to read this.
Here are some tips:
- List down some of the most common spam words and add it to your spam list. WordPress actually has a list of some common spam words.
- Add in plugins to help you deal with spam. Someone on a forum recommended the following plugins:
