Serves 1. It takes 5 minutes to make and sets in the fridge overnight, with no cooking. It fits well on TV because you can make it live and then show a finished jar.

½ cup rolled oats

¾ cup soy milk

½ cup plain Greek yoghurt

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp ground flaxseed

½ tsp cinnamon

Be the first to know:

½ cup mixed berries (frozen is fine)

1 tbsp chopped walnuts

Method

1. Stir the oats, soy milk, yoghurt, chia, flaxseed and cinnamon together in a jar.

2. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.

3. Top with the berries and walnuts just before serving.

Why It Works for Menopause

Soy: soy milk gives the phytoestrogen point a gentle mention.

Protein: Greek yoghurt and soy milk support muscle.

Fibre and low GI: oats, chia, flaxseed and berries keep blood sugar steady and feed the gut.

Plant omega-3: chia, flaxseed and walnuts.

Calcium: fortified soy milk and yoghurt set up Tuesday’s bone segment nicely.

Approximate nutrition per serve: about 24g protein and 13g fibre. These are my rough estimates, so check them before quoting them on air.
